15-year-old DF'd child under quarantine? How young could it be?
by FatFreek 2005 ini'm thinking about including the following in an online essay but wish to make sure it's fair and accurate.
any baptized member who uses tobacco and cannot quit ( deemed unrepentant) will be disfellowshipped.
be aware that there is no stated minimum age limit and i've heard of children as young as 11 who've been baptized.

Circuit Accounts Servants Confesses how the SCAM WORKS!!
by JT inyes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.
i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.
as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

I think this sums it all up.

Kinesiology
by breakfast of champions inoh gosh, i could be opening up a can of worms with this one, but.. what the hell!.
it seems to me that there is a disproportionate amount of jws who are involved in kinesiology or hk (health kinesiology).
i mean, if i asked the average guy or gal where i worked if putting a crystal on your bellybutton, moving your arm up and down and charging $100 to cure your ills made any sense they would say, hell no!.

DESIGNS - Whoa! That is pretty darn scary!
When I was having my 'health issues' I went to a chiropractor who is pretty well regarded. Did it help me with my problem? No. The best I can figure is the bit of 'euphoria' I experienced was from the fact I actually survived the 'treatment.'

YEARS BACK... I went on a totally vegetarian diet - no meat, eggs, dairy - animal products. I don't like to call it a VEGAN diet necessarily, because that is more of an 'ideological' position, although I don't disagree with a lot of the animal rights stuff.
Anyway, I lost weight, got rid of chronic sinus infections I would have every few months, and felt 'better.' I discontinued after a few years basically because it was difficult socially. If I lived in the East Village, wouldn't have been such a problem. But when you have to bring your own food to every social get-together and order a side of steamed broccoli and baked potato at most restaurants, it gets tiring.
But I was able to take away a lot of good practices from the experiences, and I am a much healthier eater. In the end you find a BALANCE.
And booze is not necessarily prohibited in veganism!
SKEETER - thanks for the reference, unfortunately my drinking may not qualify as moderate!

DESIGNS - it is an excellent 'pioneer job' - work one day a week, $100 a pop all day long, and there ya go....

MAD SWEENEY - no, this is not the same Kinesiology you would take in medical school. The type of Kinesiology I'm talking about deals with electromagnetic waves and crystals and your body 'talking' to the practitioner. I doubt any of these witness Kinesiologists could even name a dozen muscles/tendons/bones.
BLUESBROTHER - I guess what I find so fascinating about Kinesiology and JWs is how both require a major 'suspension of disbelief' - it's funny to me how the Society has cracked down on it. Similar experience in my neck of the woods... Sisters doing HK in upstate NY, had all kinds of business from local congs., bethelites, and then the axe fell. Their business was decimated.

BLONDIE - if I'm not mistaken, there was at least one assembly part regarding alternative medicine a few years ago that sent witness practitioners scampering like cockroaches from a spotlight.
